  11.        This PWAD contains no new MUS music files or sounds whatsoever.
  12.        Nor does it require any new .PAT files, just those supplied
  13.        with the more recent install disks.

  19.      Yup, they did it again!  The DMXGUS supplied with the Heretic
  20. beta release is only slightly modified from the stock UltraMID
  21. version.  It doesn't optimize the patch mappings.  This is a PWAD that
  22. loads all the instruments used in the MUS files built into the game.

  24. Ok, how do I use it?

  26.      Extract the HT_GUS1M.WAD file to wherever you normally put new
  27. wad files (ie c:\ht_beta\wad), then use it as you'd use any other new
  28. WAD add-on:

  30.      heretic -file WAD\HT_GUS1M.WAD

  32. That's it!  Hopefully you'll hear the difference as soon as the
  33. welcome screen comes up.

  37.      Authors may use this optimized DMXGUS WAD in their own WAD files,
  38. and may use it as a base to further modify the GUS's GM mapping,
  39. provided they give me (Tom Klok) credit within the DMXGUS resource and
  40. on their PWAD documentation.

  42.      Anyone may distribute this WAD, provided you do so freely and
  43. include this text file with attributions.  You may distribute this
  44. pwad in via any media (BBS, floppy disk, CDROM, etc).  If you're a
  45. CDROM producer and include this WAD and/or text file with your disk, I
  46. grant you permission to do so on the condition that you mail me a free
  47. copy of your disk.  Send me mail to make arrangements.
